- Suanni (狻猊) is a mythical Chinese beast that looks like a lion and said to be one of dragon’s nine sons. Suan Ni resembles of a lion, loves fire and smoke. It can be find as a guardian of doorway. Associated with Chinese Buddhism, it can also be seen on the seats of the Buddha statues.
